Assisting clients sell, buy and appraise homes in the Greater Toronto Area for the past 20 years has brought me to where I am today. While I continue to service reapeat, referral and new clients my current passion is the seniors market. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a B.A. in 1967 I went on to receive my teaching credentials at the Ontario College of Education and taught high school English and Accounting until 1979. Concentrating on my three young sons for the next five years brought me to the decision to change my career focus and I began selling real estate in 1989 in a very heated market. Within 3 months of my initiation into real estate sales the morgage rates escalated to an all time high of 18% and the market went into overnight hibernation. Fortunately my teacher's work ethic sustained me through those times and I continued to succeed in a very tough market. In the past 20 years I have seen several ups and downs in the market and have experience working in every market situation.
Seniors' Specialist
As an Accredited Senior Agent and Market Value Appraiser, Residential I have equipped myself to specialize in serving the burgeoning seniors' market. My affiliation with Your Transition Team (TM) allows me to refer my clients as needed to seniors' specialists in the financial planning, elder couselling and relocation services. In this way I am able to assist my senior clients and their families in making the right decisions for their later life years, whether that be renovating their current home for safety and accessibility, moving to a downsized home, condo, rental apartment, assisted living accomodation or nursing home. .
